Darcy was purchased as a foal from her German breeder in Senden, Westphalia. She was a foal with charisma and light movement.
Her sire, Donthargos (by Don Diarado, out of a Conthargos mare), was considered a sensation in free-jumping. During his Oldenburg performance test, he stood out from the crowd thanks to his quick reflexes and athletic scope.
Her dam, California, is by Cornet Obolensky. She has produced fine offsprings sold at auction in Germany, including Kartana (by Kannan GFE), who competes successfully in young horse classes. Darcy’s dam line has produced several black type horses and she is directly related to Ben—the horse that won the Aachen Grand Prix (1.70m) with Gerrit Nieberg for Germany.
In 2026, Darcy began her education and free-jumping work. She shows good potential, characterized by her rhythmic and light canter.
